He Died on Sunday in his home, Sept. 15th 2007

Reached my ears to day via Public Radio. Shakey Jake, Jake, Guitarman, has Passed on in Ann Arbor Michigan. He was a common site in Saginaw, in the Sixities on a corner or in a Grocery Store parking lot on the south side of Saginaw. He'd Strum, He'd Dance, He'd Sing, He wasn't world class but his positive out look, and enthusiasm was infectious. When he disappeared from Saginaw, many rumors circulated. Later I heard he Landed in Ann Arbor. Lately I found myself wondering how he was doing, I got my answer today.

Shakey Jake Woods has passed on, and The world will be a little quieter, a little duller, a little plainer.

2nd Week of Classes @ Delta College

Things, are getting back to normal.

Its the second week of classes and my employees are shaping up
chemistry is starting to churn, out its interesting bits of labs.

Today...
David Baker & I began brain storming our Plans for Sci-fest at Delta.
What is Sci fest? Glad you asked... Sci-fest is the Coolest,
it's a fun science day for the community to come visit at Delta College
from 10:30 am till about 2 pm in the main Gym.

Oh hey you're right, that a when answer & not a what is Sci-Fest answer...

Okay let's see... Its a Cool Event that takes place in the Main Gym at Delta
College on Oct. 27th 2007 from 10:30 till 2 pm.

Okay... Its sponsored by the American Chemical Society and there will be all kinds of cool science displays for kids and adults to try out their science skills on. Its hard to explain, but it's a lot of fun, so come on out and join us.

I think I've had too much vacation, this summer.
Back to teaching at SVSU.
Back to my day Job Setting up Lab's At Delta College.


My kids are back in school, things might just be getting back
to normal. Had a big scare Last week, Grandma broke her neck.
Luckily, cracked is the operative word here, she's got a neck brace
for the next 12 weeks. My daughter has her real driver's License,
(WATCH -OUT!) She may be heading your way...No she's a good Driver
she just gets nervious sometimes...

My employee's are beginning the inventory Project.
My students are beginning the Introduction to Chemistry.
Me I'm working on a Heavy metal Chemistry Case study, in conjunct with CSmate
of Colorado State University and Dr. Steven Thompson ( my mentor).

Last weekend I finished up my commitment with the Michigan State Fair,
that was a ton of Fun! Got to meet all kinds of neat people, kids, doctors,
moms, dads, Governor's, etc. We had a great time doing Science Demonstrations,
liquid nitrogen Ice cream, Goblins Brew, The Disembodied Hand, Elephants tooth paste,
heck their were even real elephants there!

This looks to be a short week (Wed, Thursday, Friday) with no evening lab this week.
so I may just get caught up at home this week. My Wife had her birthday, with our family.
I had no idea what to get her! I guess that makes me a lout.

I brought her flowers on Wednesday, and have tried to be extra helpful all week, I know it needs to be all year... I'm working on it.

Well other duties call me.
