I'll Dig ' Et Baby Can you Dig ' Et?

Opened my email and found a challenge from my College President Today!

Develop a Way to easily remember the Values Statement of Delta College.

What Values? Innovation, respect, leadership, learning, centered community, excellence, teamwork, diversity, integrity.... So I puzzled for a bit, and began to organize the values into groups that fit together. Diversity Innovation and Respect (DIR) went together as a natural fit.
Integrity, leadership and learning centered communities fit together (Ill), And lastly Excellence and teamwork seemed to fit together (ET) giving me Dirillet. Which wasn't a a great Meme like
Homes is ( Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior).

DIRILLET just didn't cut it, it didn't turn me on baby. I couldn't sell it!

Then it hit me! I just didn't Dig it! baby! It had to be cool and hip!

It had to sell itself! with a couple quick changes I Did Dig it!

I'LL DIG ET!

Dr.Slime Meets the Gov!

Yesterday Doctorslime got to meet the Gov. of Michigan,

Granholm at the Michigan State Fair, the Governor even tried
her hand at being a chemist for a Demonstration or two.

Yes, The Governor made things happen today!

Doctorslime is a Laboratory Manager at Delta College, and an adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Saginaw Valley State College.

Doctorslime is performing this weekend Sept 1st & 2nd (12- 4 pm each day).
at the Michigan State Fair Grounds, in the Science & Technology Building.

Michigan State Fair Special Show for Governor's Day ~ FREE FOR KIDS!!!

Wednesday DoctorSlime will be Donating a show to the Children of Detroit
In Honor of Governor's Day.

DoctorSlime Will Preform Science & Chemistry Magic for the Children & youthful adults ( children at heart) in The New Science & Technology Building. with shows at 12 & 1 pm.

The You be the Chemist Volunteers will be there, to find 5th - 8th Grade Kids who
want to learn more about science, and learn more about the You be the chemist Scholarships!

Don't miss the cool Robots & alternative Fuel Vehicle C85 on display nearby too!

All this and Much More at The Michigan State Fair, Woodward ave, & 8 mile Detroit.

Its great to be home!

Just arrived back from a two week mission to Fort Collins, Colorado.

I've been working with small scale Chemistry, and Beginning a new Project
to develop methods to us a tablet PC to facilitate teaching Chemistry, using the
case study method.

I had a wonderful time, but its good to be back home!

Spent a relaxing Sunday Evening looking at the Stars! Did you see the Shower August 12th - 13th
My Wife and I saw 21 trails in the sky.

there's a picture of one I found on Space weather. com if you want to look too,
but the real thing is much better.
