Opened my email and found a challenge from my College President Today!
Develop a Way to easily remember the Values Statement of Delta College.
What Values? Innovation, respect, leadership, learning, centered community, excellence, teamwork, diversity, integrity.... So I puzzled for a bit, and began to organize the values into groups that fit together. Diversity Innovation and Respect (DIR) went together as a natural fit.
Integrity, leadership and learning centered communities fit together (Ill), And lastly Excellence and teamwork seemed to fit together (ET) giving me Dirillet. Which wasn't a a great Meme like
Homes is ( Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior).
DIRILLET just didn't cut it, it didn't turn me on baby. I couldn't sell it!
Then it hit me! I just didn't Dig it! baby! It had to be cool and hip!
It had to sell itself! with a couple quick changes I Did Dig it!
I'LL DIG ET!

AND REACH OUT TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND COMMUNITY TO MAKE MICHIGAN A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, AND GO TO SCHOOL!
